Nine Families in Nine Days
Beginning September 9th, 2009, Hubbell Homes will begin construction on a nine-plex housing structure to be located at the corner of 21st and Forest Avenue in Des Moines, Iowa. This nine-plex will be rental homes to families with household incomes of $13,000 or less. Together in only nine days, we can positively impact the lives of hundreds of families for years to come.
The nine-plex will be constructed for and managed by Anawim Housing, a local non-profit organization that provides safe, affordable housing to low-income families. The entire construction of the home will be donated- from the trusses, drywall and paint, down to the very last nail. While the families who live in these homes may not know the names of the many people who contributed to the project, they will know our hearts.
